Drinking Water for Mbale

In Mbale – as in many areas of Africa – clean drinking water is no matter of course, in fact it represents the exception. Water must often be carried over many kilometres – not seldom by children. In the absence of drinking water, this essential commodity is unfortunately often consumed by drinking from contaminated water courses, which in turn often leads to illness. We have now provided for a 10,000 litre storage tank to be installed in Mbale, which collects rain water from the roof of the church building. The water collected in this way ensures that our nursery children have enough water to drink and to cook with. Furthermore, it ensures that people in the immediate vicinity also have clean drinking water. The distribution of water will be organised by the local pastor.
