Children of the Schoenbornschul in Karlsdorf, work for the children in Kenya

Children of the Schoenbornschul in Karlsdorf, work for the children in Kenya

On 5 December, 120 pupils at the Schönborn school in Karlsdorf-Neuthard crafted for up to 8 hours for our children in Kenya.

A pleasantly large sum could be collected and this delighted us and of course the children in Mbale immensely.

This is because – with the agreement of the Schönborn school – “hope” will use the money to build a playground for the nursery school children at our “Lwangale Nyota Early Childhood Development Center”. “Hope” would sincerely like to thank everyone who contributed towards this amazing achievement – especially the pupils of the Schönborn school. As representatives of the staff body, we would also like to thank Ms Monika Freimuth (headteacher) and Mr Peter Frey (supervising teacher). We will of course report more on the creation of the playground in due course.

Translatating for a good cause!

Mandeep Lakhan

Mandeep Lakhan has supported us with her brilliant translations from German into English for the past two years.

The entire English language website was created by her.

At this point  “hope” would again like to thank her sincerely for the wonderful job she has done  and still does.
