Right on time for Christmas and coinciding with the beginning of the new school year, 73 nursery school and school children received new nursery and school uniforms.
In Kenya, the new school year begins in January.
All of the children also received shoes – for some of them, they were the first pair of shoes they had ever received and they were worn with immense pride.
In addition to clothing and shoes, each child also received a bag with books as well as two kilos of corn and two kilos of rice.
This ensured that they would have something to eat at Christmas.
